Travelling Fellowship

FISITA Travelling Fellowship 2010 - HungaryFISITA offers young engineers and students under the age of 35 an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a two-week "Travelling Fellowship Programme" in Beijing and the surrounding area. The first week consists of technical visits to sites of industrial and cultural importance and during the second week, participants join the Student Congress at the FISITA 2012 World Automotive Congress, taking place in Beijing, China.

The Travelling Fellowship Programme is designed to give students an unparalleled introduction to the international automotive industry as well as participation in the FISITA Student Congress, presenting papers and networking and learning from industry and academic professionals and their peers.

Gathering in Beijing - Travel to Changchun Visit to FAW-VW plant, Changchun Visit to Jilin University, State Key Laboratory, followed by campus tour Visit to FAW-VW R&D Centre, followed by Student Workshop Sightseeing in Changchun, travel back to Beijing Free day in Beijing Visit to BIT State Key Laboratory (transmission and EV Labs), followed by visit to Beijing Auto Musem FISITA2012 World Automotive Congress

How to apply

DEADLINE EXTENSION - Deadline extended to 28 SEPTEMBER 2012.

Applications to join the Travelling Fellowship MUST be made to your local FISITA member society, which will be responsible for selecting eligible candidates and will be paying for the travel expenses.

Applications must be accompanied by paper abstracts. deadlines for local FISITA member socities may well be before the deadline above. You are advised to check deadlines for in-country selection with your national member society.

Once received, Member Societies should send their recommendations to SAE-China at fisita2012@sae-china.org.
